Job Title: Nurse
Details of duties
- works with other healthcare professionals to pre-plan admission of residents to Bargoed Care Home
- act as lead nurse on duty when manager is not in the building.
- be responsible for delivery of nursing care to 45 residents at Bargoed Care Home.
- monitors residents progress, administers drugs and medicines, applies surgical dressings and gives other forms of treatment;
- participates in the preparation for physical and psychological treatment of mentally ill patients if and when required;
- help plans duty rotas and organises and directs the work and training of staff;
- advises on nursing care, disease prevention, nutrition, etc.
- plans and manages, provides and evaluates nursing care plans for residents, the implementation of nursing care plans;
Details of the skill, experience and qualifications required for Nurse post
Minimum of 3 years' experience of working as a nurse, any overseas applicants need to pass their CBT and comply with all other initial requirements of the NMC overseas nursing process (including achieving language capability requirements) and sit the OSCE and complete their registration
Job title: Senior Carer -
Details of duties
- Routinely overseeing and monitoring care workers and at the care home;
- taking responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty;
- responding to emergencies and providing guidance and support to care workers;
- assisting and enabling service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe;
- serving meals to service users at table or in bed, assisting with feeding if required.

Details of the skill, experience and qualifications required for each post
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a senior carer, must be able to communicate effetely in English in all mediums including reading, writing, listing and speaking , the potential candidate needs to have the following qualities sensitivity and understanding, a desire to help people, the ability to work well with others, patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure, to be thorough and pay attention to detail and customer service skills.
Job title: Care Worker
Details of duties
- Supporting and assisting care home residents with all aspects of daily living.
- Assist residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual
- Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring residents retain their comfort and dignity
- Pay particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility, or physical, learning difficulties making the best use of aids provided
- Closely monitor residents who may be confused and/or who have behavioural problems
- Assist in the promotion of continence
- Assist in the delivery of care for residents who are dying or who have a progressive illness. Assist with last offices
- Observe care planning needs for residents and completed daily records as instructed and in line with the Company’s policies and procedures
- Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Home
- Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required
- Assist residents who need help during meal times, be aware of swallowing difficulties, dietary requirements etc. Assist with servicing of food/drinks as requested/required. Wash up as requested/required
