BARGOED CARE HOME
TYPES OF CARE PROVIDED AT BARGOED CARE HOME
RESIDENTIAL CARE
Also referred to as personal care or assisted living, our residential care services are for people who require support with day to day activities. This may include; bathing, dressing, medication supervision, cooking, cleaning and mobility which can no longer be managed at home.
Many people also choose residential care because they no longer wish to live alone, or to shoulder the burden of maintaining their own home.
Residential care is simply about peace of mind, and our homes can provide a place where they are able to flourish, make friends and explore new interests.
NURSING CARE
Nursing care in a care home involves supporting elderly residents with complex health needs that cannot be provided at home. People who require this level of support need a combination of both social care (for example support to eat, drink, wash and dress, and being able to maintain an active social life) and health support, such as support with complex dressings. Nursing in a care home is overseen by a registered nurse.
At Bargoed Care Home we provide qualified nursing care on site, delivered in a person-centred and compassionate way. Offering the highest quality of care, our residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible, within a caring and supportive environment.
Our registered nurses are present 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and are supported by teams of highly-trained staff. Our healthcare professionals include Senior Team Leaders who work closely with registered nurses to meet the healthcare needs of our residents.
RESPITE CARE?
Respite care in a residential or nursing home is a service for people who wish to stay somewhere on a short-term basis.
This might include people who need a little extra support whilst recovering from an illness or operation and can last for weeks or even a few months.
Respite care for elderly people can also be arranged to provide their primary carers with a well-earned rest.
This gives resident's peace of mind, so that their main concern is getting better as we will look after everything else.
As always at, our main priority is our residents' wellbeing and ensuring that they get the most out of each day they stay with us.
